PTR Receives NCACE Accreditation

Hilton Head Island, SC — Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced today that it has gained Level 5 accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE) for its Master of Tennis – Performance program.
“We congratulate PTR for recognizing the value of having an accredited coaching education program,” wrote NCACE Executive Director, Christopher Hickey. “PTR has shown that it is a leader among leaders. Your Master of Tennis coaching education program will serve as a prototype for other organizations seeking to promote excellence in coaching preparation.”
The National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE), a division of AAPHERD, promotes and facilitates coaching competence within all levels of amateur sport by overseeing and evaluating the quality of coaching education programs. In addition, NCACE endorses comprehensive standards for sport practitioners, including: volunteer, interscholastic, collegiate, and elite coaches. Through accreditation, NCACE provides leadership and guidance to coaching education providers, sport administrators, and the public regarding the knowledge, values, and skills of effective coaches.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 14,000 members in 121 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
