Coachseek joins TIA

August 10, 2015

*HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC — * To help tennis providers manage and grow their businesses, the Tennis Industry Association is partnering with technology development companies that offer “software as a service” (SaaS). The newest partnership is with Coachseek, an online management tool that allows independent tennis contractors to manage their coaching business.

Ian Bishop, a former tennis coach of 18 years, says he founded the easy-to-use Coachseek software because he was frustrated with the lack of options available for his coaching business. “My coaching team used all the latest coaching methods on court, but the entire business was built on an inefficient, old-school system of paper diaries and spreadsheets that took more than 20 hours a week of administration,” he says. “That still seems to be the default setting for most tennis coaches. I was determined to find a better way.”

Bishop says he was impressed with how modern web apps like Vend for retail and Xero for accounting had transformed their respective industries. “I was inspired to build a solution that can really impact the lives of thousands of tennis coaches and their clients,” he adds. “It really is about getting tennis coaches back to what they love.”

“We’re excited to have Coachseek join the TIA as a Technology Business Partner,” says TIA Executive Director Jolyn de Boer. “The software as a service industry has been growing at a very rapid pace. Our goal and opportunity is to research and highlight these companies and services so tennis facilities and providers can determine which will best fit their needs, saving them time and money in the process.”

Approved TIA SaaS business partners, such as Coachseek, will become part of the family of TIA Recommended Software and Business Solutions, and also receive membership benefits and services to help the tennis facilities, retailers and providers using their specific technology product. The TIA maintains a network of thousands of facilities, retailers, and tennis businesses that can utilize SaaS products in their daily operations.

TIA members also receive many other benefits, including advertising and marketing discounts, FedEx shipping discounts, credit card processing discounted rates, member card services, “TennisInsure” insurance program, and more.
