Head Penn Partners with TGA Premier Tennis

October 26, 2017

Phoenix, AZ (Oct. 26, 2017) – HEAD PENN Racquet Sports, a leading tennis equipment manufacturer, announced a partnership this week with TGA Premier Tennis, a nationwide youth tennis delivery system and National Partner of the USTA and USPTA.

As part of the agreement HEAD PENN will supply its premier performance tennis balls and “Ten and Under” tennis equipment like balls, nets, cones, lines, and targets for TGA’s programs. PENN tennis balls will also become the “official tennis ball” of TGA Premier Tennis.

“We’re excited about the new partnership. Helping grow the game through grassroots initiatives like TGA and connecting with kids to have them embrace the great game of tennis makes complete sense on all levels,” said Greg Mason, President HEAD USA Racquet Sports.

In addition, HEAD PENN will also impact youth by sponsoring TGA students at one of the premier overnight tennis camps in the country, the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch located in Texas. HEAD PENN will provide campers with a complete HEAD performance tennis equipment package including racquets, racquet bags, string, caps, and T-shirts. Top TGA tennis coaches will also receive equipment packages from the manufacturer.

“HEAD PENN represents the best in tennis equipment manufacturing and we are very excited to partner with them in efforts to support our franchises and tennis families,” TGA CEO Joshua Jacobs said. “As we continue to evolve and grow the sport by thousands of youth nationwide, HEAD PENN will have a great opportunity to plant the seeds for future recreational and high-performance players that play their brands.”

TGA has already activated over 90,000 new tennis players across the country, and that impact is at several levels in the player pathway. First, by bringing introductory tennis programs directly into schools and community centers through before- or after-school enrichment programs. Second, through recreational programs at tennis facilities that includes camps, Play Day Series, parent/child events, as well as USTA Junior Team Tennis and Junior Tournaments.
