WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., September 11, 2020 – As a part of the ongoing Rally to Rebuild campaign, the USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the USTA, thanks Jersey Mike’s Subs for celebrating the USTA Foundation’s efforts. On Saturday, September 12, Jersey Mike’s celebrated the USTA Foundation’s mission to bring tennis and education together to change lives by donating $1 million to the organization.
The donation from Jersey Mike’s will support the Mission of the USTA Foundation including the National Junior Tennis & Learning chapters in 250 diverse communities that serve up dreams to over 160,000 under-resourced youth across the country.
“I’d like to invite you in to Jersey Mike’s this Saturday to celebrate the programs funded by the USTA Foundation that help more than 160,000 under-resourced kids succeed on the court, in the classroom, and in life,” said Peter Cancro, Founder and CEO, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. “We hope you join us as we celebrate our pledge of $1 million for the programs that support the kids of the USTA Foundation.”
“We are thrilled that Jersey Mike’s has made this donation to the USTA Foundation to support our Mission,” said Thomas S. Chen, USTA Foundation Board President. “The generous contribution will make a lasting impact to the youth we serve across the entire country.”
To build awareness for the USTA Foundation and its important work, Cancro shared a nationwide message. Watch here.
“Giving…making a difference in someone’s life” has been the mission of Jersey Mike’s from the beginning. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $50 million for local charities. During the pandemic alone, franchise owners across the country have donated millions of sub sandwiches to healthcare workers, seniors, children, and others.
