COSTA MESA, CA — The nations #1 USTA Boys 18 player for the past 16 weeks, Jordan Rux, has signed an apparel contract with Bälle de Mätch. The eighteen-year-old from Kerrville, TX has been wearing Bälle de Mätch since he was net high. Now an imposing 6’5”, he still relies on the cool clothing to beat the heat of Texas.
“Bälle de Mätch tennis apparel gives me the comfort and style I want on the court,” said Rux, who has enjoyed wearing the apparel for 10 years. “The brand’s cool colors, classy design and easy fit help me play and look my best all the time, and the new line keeps me cool and dry even in the hot Texas summers.”
Rux boasts an incredible 63-14 record this year and won titles at the South Texas Junior Open, Sun City National Junior Open and Midwest Winter Championships. Robert Trogolo, Rux’s technical coach, a former top 50 ATP player and coach to some of the world’s best players, believes Rux is bound for great things on the Tour. “I have had the pleasure of coaching Jordan Rux for the past six years. I can confidently say that he is the ‘real deal’. He has an all-around game that is rare in this day.”
“Jordan is the first individual player Bälle de Mätch has signed,” said Bälle de Mätch co-owner and partner John Embree. “He has great potential to make a significant impression on the ATP and we are excited to be associated with him as he ventures into the professional league. Hopefully, Jordan will be a YIPPEE ambassador for the duration of a long and successful career.
“The company’s grass-roots focus continues to target teaching professionals, teams and WTT. However, we also want to build our brand in the junior market by associating ourselves with those elite junior players who encapsulate the yippee spirit,” said Embree, who has watched Bälle de Mätch nearly triple its sales since a restructuring in 2004.
