TIA and RSI Magazine Expand Partnership

July 24, 2007

Hilton Head Island, SC — The Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and Racquet Sports Industry Magazine (RSI) announced recently that they will be expanding their partnership to include dedicated TIA sections in RSI magazine and searchable TIA material on RSI’s recently redesigned website,

The TIA provides industry research, programs, products, and services to promote the economic vitality of tennis in the U.S. and is the unifying force for the tennis industry. RSI magazine, which is published 10 times a year, is the world’s largest trade publication dedicated to tennis and the racquet sports industry.

“RSI is a natural fit to share important news about the industry and all our partners’ collaborative efforts to help grow our sport,” says TIA Executive Director Jolyn de Boer. “Each issue will feature a designated area to highlight news on research, grassroots initiatives including Tennis Welcome Centers, Cardio Tennis, and Growing Tennis updates, technology developments, plus TIA activities and announcements. We look forward to this expanded relationship with RSI, as the official publication of the TIA, in helping to deliver the industry news and also the focus on tools to keep our industry healthy and businesses vital.”

Beginning in the September/October issue, the TIA will have its own dedicated section in RSI Magazine to share news with RSI’s industry professional subscribers highlighting the important industry efforts to grow the game of tennis, including related research and technology innovations. These features will also be catalogued and archived in a dedicated searchable TIA section on, RSI’s official website.

“These steps will put the TIA and grow-the-game programs front and center in the minds of tennis industry professionals,” says RSI Co-Publisher Jeff Williams. “These are the people who most need to be aware of, understand, support, and even implement such programs. These steps will also reinforce RSI magazine’s position as a must-read publication for anyone who works in the racquet sports business.

Adds RSI Co-Publisher David Bone: “We’re very excited to be building on a relationship with the TIA that was already strong and taking steps toward a true partnership. We have always supported the TIA and its important mission to unite the tennis industry to increase participation in the sport that is so important to all of us. We will now be a much more important ingredient in the recipe.”
