Michelle Wilson Named Chief Marketing Officer, Pro Tennis

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The USTA today announced that Michelle Wilson has been named Chief Marketing Officer, Professional Tennis. In this new role, Wilson will be responsible for all marketing, advertising, branding and creative services for professional tennis, including the US Open, US Open Series, Davis Cup and Fed Cup, as well as all design and messaging for the USTA’s Advanced Media and Publishing efforts. In addition, Wilson will oversee all special events and entertainment programming surrounding the US Open, US Open Series and USTA pro tennis events. Wilson will continue to report to Arlen Kantarian, CEO, Pro Tennis, USTA.
Since joining the USTA as Director of Marketing in 2001, Wilson has played a significant role in the record growth of the US Open and US Open Series. She has been responsible for the development and creation of the highly acclaimed US Open marketing campaign — “It’s Showtime,” and the launch of the first-of-its-kind national marketing and advertising platform for the US Open Series — “The Greatest Road Trip in Sports.”
