The LBH Group Debuts a Revitalized Look
February 12, 2008
Torrance, CA — The LBH Group, Ltd., manufacturers of vibrant golf and tennis apparel for women, announces the Summer ’08 collections of their two tennis lines: LBH and Wimbledon. Under the new direction of Vice President and Creative Director, James Sowins, both collections unite a passion for the great sport of tennis with the magnetism and liberty of fashion, while still maintaining an athletic edge. The revitalized look of LBH and Wimbledon, along with the recent re-branding of The LBH Group’s golf line, Lily’s of Beverly Hills, brings a new perspective to the 35-year-old company.
“Our goal is to create product for our consumers’ taste level,” says James Sowins, Vice President and Creative Director of The LBH Group. ” We feel we have struck the right balance between athletic excellence and the needs of contemporary women. We are trying to deliver this with a range of looks and fabrics that strike a balance between style and performance.”
Sowins joined The LBH Group in February 2007 and brings nearly 20 years of experience in defining fashion direction, design and merchandising to the company. With a resume that includes a list of highly regarded brands, including PUMA, Skechers-Kitson Apparel, Quiksilver and Mossimo, Inc., Sowins brings a deep understanding of the sportswear industry. The revitalization of the LBH and Wimbledon tennis brands only adds to his accolades as a designer for The LBH Group, which already includes two extremely successful collections for the company’s golf brand, Lily’s of Beverly Hills.
“James has created a look for LBH and Wimbledon never before seen in women’s tennis apparel,” says Judy Petraitis, President of The LBH Group. “It allows the female athlete to make the statement that she is feminine and not afraid to show it. But don’t be fooled, she is the ultimate competitor!”
The newly re-branded LBH collection, including a new logo, exudes a unity of magnetism and elegance. The collection features luxurious, yet athletic performance fabrics for a perfect synthesis of sport and fashion. These modern silhouettes feature striking cuts and details that celebrate grace and femininity. The end result is athletic wear with a contemporary lifestyle edge.
The Summer ‘08 collection for Wimbledon has been re-designed and expanded by 40% to feature athletic performance fabrics in expressive colors and vivid prints that are unparalleled in comfort and fit. The LBH Group has held the license to design, manufacturer and sell women and men’s tennis apparel under the
Wimbledon name in the United States, Canada and Caribbean since 1996. Loyal to the Wimbledon heritage, The LBH Group is proud to continue Wimbledon’s tradition of excellence.
