Roy Barth Elected to PTR Board of Directors

Hilton Head Island, SC — Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced that Roy Barth, of Charleston, South Carolina, has joined its Board of Directors as Treasurer. He replaces Skip Hartman, of New York City, who served in the position from 2003.

Barth has an outstanding tennis background as a player, teacher, professional, and administrator. He won numerous national titles as a junior player out of San Diego, California. He earned a BA in Economics from UCLA. As an All-American, he reached the doubles semi-finals and finals of the NCAA Championship. Barth was ranked as high as #8 in singles and #2 in doubles and reached the Top 50 in the world in men’s singles on the pro tour.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with 14,000 members in 121 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
