Court Builders: Market Your QuickStart Services

Are you a tennis court contractor, or do you work with court contractors? Court builders can play a key role in developing a national infrastructure for Kids Tennis, while at the same time drumming up extra business.

Last year, the USTA ruled that all sanctioned 8-and-under tennis be played on 36-foot courts with modified equipment and nets. This September, it’s expected that they will do the same for 10-and-under sanctioned tennis on 60-foot courts.

The USTA is offering 50% funding to communities, park and rec agencies, schools, clubs and facilities to help cover the costs of painting lines on courts for 36- and 60-foot tennis so kids can learn and play the QuickStart Tennis format. Generally, the cost for lining a 78-foot court for 36- or 60-foot tennis is between $200 and $400 per 78-foot court.

Court contractors can advertise this deal on painting lines for Kids Tennis courts to customers and create business or themselves, and help the USTA promote this important new format to grow the sport among America’s youth. In addition to offering to pay for half the cost of lining shorter courts, the USTA also is offering to pay 50% of the cost to permanently convert a 78-foot court to four 36-foot courts.
