USPTA Newest Membership Classification

The Accredited Professional Coach is USPTA’s newest membership classification and is open to Professional 1, 2, and 3 members and Master Professionals. The APC classification became effective January 1, 2011 and includes mandatory education.
The APC is earned by accumulating 20 APC continuing education credits within a two-year period starting January 1, 2011. The designation is maintained by continuing to earn 20 APC credits over every two-year period. Two hours of qualifying education will constitute one CEU. Continuing education credits can be earned in a variety of ways, including attending educational presentations and viewing DVD seminars and specialty courses.
For credits earned during educational presentations at the World Conference and division conventions, members will be required to fill out a form and submit it before leaving each seminar. The form will be distributed only during the first 10 minutes of the seminar and will be collected right after the seminar ends. Proof of attendance at the World Conference or division conventions will not be applicable/sufficient for APC credits. The FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED (for each seminar) in order to receive credit toward the APC classification.
Members will receive a special certificate and the designation will be added to their professional rating once they achieve this distinction.
While the APC classification did not become effective until January 2011, those members who attended specialty courses at the World Conference in September and completed the forms for credit, will have those credits count toward the APC classification.
