Babolat Debuts 2011 Footwear

February 10, 2011

Boulder, Colorado — Babolat, leading manufacturer of tennis equipment, debuts its 2011 footwear collection. With its dominant red color, the Propulse 3 offers a new look—and new technologies, while also inspiring the design of the new V-PRO line.

In tennis, 80% of movements on the court are lateral or diagonal, with propulsion on the forefoot. Players combine quick acceleration, fast braking and changes of direction—sometimes for several hours at a time. As a tennis expert, Babolat takes these aspects into account when developing technologies specifically adapted to the movements of tennis players.

The All-New Propulse 3

Enhanced with two new innovations, the Propulse 3 is even more high-performance, durable and comfortable than its predecessor.

Kompressor System: When the heel hits the ground, the shock is absorbed equally by the entire KOMPRESSOR system. The energy is absorbed and uniformly distributed into each tube for optimum comfort and efficiency.

Cell Shield: A high performance upper made with cellular material stands up to even more abrasion while providing excellent comfort. Cells are smaller and more densely concentrated in the high-wear zones to guarantee optimal effectiveness. The mesh lining keeps the foot very well ventilated for improved comfort.

This new model also features other Babolat 100% tennis technologies:

The Propulse has been endorsed and signed by American Andy Roddick since its launch in 2007. The Propulse 3 is available in stores starting February 2011 in men’s (red and white), women’s and junior models. And starting February 15, fans can participate in the “Faster to the Ball” online promotion for a chance at winning a trip to the US Open to attend an Andy Roddick match—sitting in Andy Roddick’s box!
