Macci’s Top Five Movement Drills premieres

“On Court with USPTA” is the cable TV show produced by the United States Professional Tennis Association. In this episode USPTA Master Professional Rick Macci is back to share his top five movement drills.
Macci demonstrates a variety of drills that work on agility, change of direction, conditioning and movement. He also shares his famous two-on-two game with viewers and gives tips on court safety during this action-packed episode. Every drill featured in this episode is scalable so that players of all levels can benefit from the drills and use them to improve their game.
Rick Macci has worked with hundreds of top pros and juniors at his Rick Macci Tennis Academy, and now is a touring teaching pro at Boca Lago Country Club. He has been the personal coach of four No. 1 players in the world – Venus and Serena Williams, Jennifer Capriati and Andy Roddick. His academy is regarded as one of the top teaching environments in the world. Macci, a six-time USPTA Florida Division Coach of the Year and recipient of the 2005 Alex Gordon Award for USPTA Professional of the Year, is one of the most in-demand clinicians and speakers in the game today.
“On Court” is a half-hour instructional show featuring USPTA-certified professionals as guest instructors. The USPTA became the first tennis-teaching organization ever to produce and air an educational television series on playing and teaching tennis on the Tennis Channel in 2003. Since then, more than 68 shows have been produced that provide instruction about technique, strategy and other facets of the game. All production is done in-house, which includes everything from planning and scripting, to shooting and editing, to graphics and DVD duplication. All episodes of “On Court” are now in high-definition.
