Baiardo: ‘Stringing Machine of the Decade’
May 19, 2011
[CHICAGO] — The revolutionary Wilson Baiardo stringing machine has been named “Stringing Machine of the Decade” by the European Racquet Stringers Association (ERSA) for the decade of 2000-2010.
Although Baiardo was not officially released for purchase until late 2008, it impressed the best stringers in the world to win this prestigious accolade in just 2 short years. Since its debut, Baiardo has impressed the top tour players in the world as it is the official stringing machine at the US Open, Australian Open, at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
Baiardo is the first stringing machine designed using the revolutionary Wilson B.E.S.T. stringing system (Biomechanically Efficient Stringing Technology). Multiple ergonomic features provide unprecedented user comfort. Baiardo automatically adjusts height and tilt three times during the stringing process (mounting, mains, and crosses) putting the string bed in a biomechanically perfect position. Stringers experience less stress on the lower back, shoulders, neck, and arms. Baiardo is also the most customizable machine in the world with 13 personalized stringer settings.
“Given the intense competition in the marketplace, we are very proud that Baiardo was named the stringing machine of the decade considering how relatively new it still is,” said John Lyons, Wilson’s Global Business Director for Accessories. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our engineers and design teams.”
