Dunlop names new leaders

February 2, 2012

GREENVILLE, SC — Dunlop today announced new and expanded roles for industry veterans Steve Hall and Hunter Hines, both based in the Greenville, SC office.

Hall, a veteran of the company since 2000 and renowned for his squash industry acumen, now assumes the title of Director of Marketing for Indoor Sports, where he’ll helm squash, badminton and other indoor sports. Hall will also lead the charge in exploring additional categories in which the company can grow.

“Steve has proven he has a knowledge and passion for indoor sports second to none,” commented Kai Nitsche, VP of Dunlop Racket Sports. “As the number one brand in squash, there’s no person better suited than Steve to continue our domination in that category. Now we’ll be able to put his hard-charging style to use in finding new categories in which Dunlop can compete.”

Hines, who’s been working in the tennis industry for over 10 years, now assumes the role of Director of Marketing and Product for Tennis. Hines will oversee traditional marketing duties such as advertising, PR and social media, but will also have a firm hand in consumer and Tour player product development as well as Tour player signings. Hines will also continue to be an integral part of the Dunlop sales management team.

“Hunter has an incredible knowledge of the industry, and in particular, the technology behind performance products and how it can benefit players of all levels,” said Nitsche. “He was instrumental in helping the design process of the new Biomimetic 400 series of rackets, and he is aggressively working to help sign some standout players as well. 2012 promises to be a great year for Dunlop Tennis with him at the helm.”

“This year will be an instrumental one for Dunlop,” continued Nitsche. “It’s imperative we continue the momentum we’ve built with dealers and consumers with our Biomimetic product. We feel that with Steve and Hunter in their new roles, we’re set to do just that.”
