DecoTurf chosen for the Citi Open

Andover, MA — The Citi Open, formerly the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, has chosen DecoTurf to supply the surfacing materials for the prestigious ATP and WTA events.
The Citi Open, hosted annually at the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center in the heart of Washington DC, has been played on DecoColor, by the makers of DecoTurf, since 2003. The tournament will take place July 28th through August 5th and will be televised on both ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel as part of the exciting summer-long Emirates Airline US Open Series.

Beyond the addition of the WTA tournament to the schedule, Citi’s first year as title sponsor will feature new events, amenities and promotions.

The courts at the Fitzgerald Center have once again been surfaced by Mid-Atlantic Tennis Courts of Chantilly, VA. Mid-Atlantic is a full-service sports construction company that has also resurfaced the courts at the University of Maryland, the University of Virginia, and the defending WTT Champion Washington Kastles, among other high profile venues.
