NEW YORK — In its 19th year as a US Open partner, American Express is introducing a suite of innovative digital and on-site benefits, designed to serve tennis fans the best of the US Open, both on and off the courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

“Our services this year aim to make the viewing experience as engaging, fun and exciting as the action on the courts.”

“The US Open is one of sports’ biggest events, and we want to help our cardmembers, and all tennis fans, have a great experience — whether they are watching from home, following along on their mobile devices, or cheering from the stands in Flushing,” said Alexander Chang, vice president, American Express Sports and Entertainment. “Our services this year aim to make the viewing experience as engaging, fun and exciting as the action on the courts.”

This year, American Express is offering even more ways for tennis fans to get involved with the action of the US Open and enjoy a truly customized experience throughout the two weeks of Championship play:

The US Open American Express® Fan Experience — For the second year at the US Open American Express Fan Experience, fans can perfect their game, catch the action on the courts and challenge their friends to a match. The Experience, which is located just inside the East Gate, has moved indoors and now features 20,000 square feet of interactive elements for all fans at the US Open. These include:

Swing Analysis: All tennis fans can receive a personalized analysis and tips on how to improve their swing. American Express Cardmembers can also receive a more in-depth lesson with a tennis professional.

My US Open Presented by American Express — American Express’ popular Court Curator digital concierge, which debuted last year, is now featured in the official US Open apps developed by IBM. By designing a personalized itinerary, whether following the tournament on-site, from home or on the go, fans can visit My US Open to ensure they don’t miss any of the action. An interactive map, USOpen.org Radio presented by American Express feed as well as offers for American Express Cardmembers make for a truly customized experience.

World Class Service — American Express Customer Care Professionals will be onsite throughout the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to help our customers and all attendees. Service is the cornerstone of the American Express brand and having knowledgeable Customer Care Professionals onsite to answer inquiries is another way we take care of our customers.

American Express Radio Live at the Open — Once again, complimentary radios will be available exclusively for American Express Cardmembers, featuring live play-by-play commentary and match updates from CBS, ESPN and the Tennis Channel. Radios will be available at the Fan Experience or at any American Express satellite location on the grounds.

Fresh Courts — The Fresh Courts partnership between American Express and the USTA is a community funding effort that invests in developing communities through the renovation of existing tennis facilities. This year marks the third anniversary of the program and included community parks in Atlanta, Cincinnati, New Haven, and New York City. Since the partnership began, American Express and the USTA have refurbished more than 70 courts across the U.S.
