HEAD Penn dominates on the Vegas Strip

Las Vegas, Nevada — Players from the HEAD Penn team swept the professional divisions at the 2013 3 Wallball World Championships held last weekend in the shadow of the Stratosphere on the Las Vegas Strip.
Rocky Carson (Orange County, California) captured the title in the Men’s Professional Doubles division and was a finalist in the Men’s Professional Singles Division. The championship match of the Singles Division was not played due to windy weather conditions that hit Las Vegas on Sunday. Carson won the Singles Title at the 3 Wallball World Championships in 2010, 2011, & 2012. He is also a nine-time World Outdoor Racquetball champion, making him the most decorated player in the outdoor game. On the indoor courts, Rocky is currently ranked No. 2 on the International Racquetball Tour.
Racquetball legend Cliff Swain (Boston, Massachusetts) continued to add to his overflowing racquetball trophy case in winning the title in the Men’s 40+ Professional Doubles Division. Swain is the record holder of the most tournament victories (71) on the International Racquetball Tour and finished the season as the top ranked player in the world six times. In 2003, Swain was inducted into the USA Racquetball Hall of Fame.
Jackie Paraiso (San Diego, California) doubled down in Las Vegas by winning the Mixed Professional Doubles Division and the Women’s Professional Doubles Division. Paraiso was also a semifinalist in the Women’s Professional Singles Division. Jackie has earned more appointments (25) to the US National Team than any other player — male or female. She holds 14 US National Doubles Titles and has won more than two dozen medals on the international stage.
