Drysdale announced as conference keynote

January 25, 2014

The 2014 TIA Tennis Owners & Managers (T.O.M.) Conference is proud to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Cliff Drysdale.

Both on and off the court, 2013 International Tennis Hall of Fame inductee Cliff Drysdale is one of the most popular personalities in the international tennis community.

Drysdale has devoted over four decades of his life to promoting the advancement of the tennis culture. His contributions to the game span across an award-winning career as a professional player, leadership roles in advancing Open Tennis, the founding and presidency of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a 30 year+ tenure as a television tennis analyst, and the ownership of his tennis management company, Cliff Drysdale Tennis.

Cliff Drysdale went from making the shots — to calling them. Drysdale has been one of the game’s preeminent television commentators since the late seventies, and has been known as “the voice” of ESPN since the inception of the network in 1979. He will also be commentating during the 2014 Family Circle Cup.

In April, the TIA will host tennis facility owners and club managers from across the country at the “Tennis Owners & Managers Conference” in Charleston, S.C., during the Family Circle Cup women’s tennis tournament. The conference will feature some of the industry’s leading experts in tennis facility operations and management, who will present sessions and highlight resources on a variety of business topics including staffing, retailing, programming, and technology. The event will also provide attendees with a great networking opportunity to share their experiences and best practices.
