Athenaeum Hotel sponsors World Tennis Day

LONDON, ENGLAND — The five-star Athenaeum Hotel has been announced as the official hotel partner of the World Tennis Day Showdown, presented by the Financial Times, coming to London for the first time on Monday 3rd March 2014.

The London Showdown, taking place at Earls Court on 3rd March, will be an evening of exceptional tennis featuring former Wimbledon champions Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Pat Cash as well as multiple grand slam champion and coach to Andy Murray, Ivan Lendl.

The London Showdown forms part of the World Tennis Day, a coordinated global series of matches, events and activities involving all levels of the game and all taking place on Monday 3rd March 2014 and including Showdowns in New York and Hong Kong.

Prior to the Earl’s Court Showdown on Monday 3 March Sampras, Agassi , Cash and Lendl will give a pre event press conference mid morning at the Athenaeum, and will on Sunday 2 March attend an invitation only cocktail party also at the hotel.
