*Solana Beach, CA — * Volkl Tennis announced today that Gary Machholz will be taking on an expanded role within the company. Machholz, who joined the company in May of 2013 as a Territory Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region and VIP ambassador will now manage a growing list of sponsored and VIP players.

According to Sean Frost, Managing Director of Volkl Tennis “Gary has the industry contacts and experience as a USPTA, PTR and USRSA member along with his years of service on the supply side to help us drive the Volkl brand. The past couple of years Volkl has grown and we want to hit the groups that drive brands – teaching professionals, junior players and key influencers across the country.”

“I am excited to work with Sean in growing Volkl and driving sales to the player market. Since my background is on-court I feel very strongly that juniors, teaching pros, college players and tour players help drive brands. The Volkl line is known for performance with comfort and in today’s game that is more important than ever. Just look at the list of injury retirements and surgeries on the ATP and WTA tours. Our German engineering really does make a difference.”
