September 5, 2014

HOUSTON – Power Plate is the latest supporter of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), as announced on Thursday, providing another benefit to USPTA-certified Professionals. As part of the endorsement agreement, Power Plate will contribute to the USPTA’s Retirement Gold+ program with those members who purchase a Power Plate machine for their club or facility.

“To have the leading producer of whole body vibration technology partner with USPTA illustrates the influence that tennis professionals have in the marketplace,” USPTA CEO John Embree said. “Our pros have a great concern for their own wellbeing as well as that of their customer base, so this partnership with Power Plate will give tennis pros an opportunity to provide the latest fitness technology to their club members.”

Power Plate joins other endorsees Prince, Fromuth Tennis, Hop-a-Razzi and NetKnacks to make contributions to individual USPTA-certified Professionals’ retirement accounts. The company will offer special pricing for USPTA members when purchasing Power Plate for their clubs or facilities with a percentage of the sale going back to the participating member’s Retirement Gold+ account.

Owned by Performance Health Systems (PHS), Power Plate is the world’s leader in whole body vibration equipment and is engineered to apply the science behind the body’s natural response to destabilization. Power Plate continues to deliver advanced technology to create products and training programs that deliver legendary performance for professional sports teams, medical facilities, health clubs, studios and individuals around the globe.

Many of the world’s elite athletes and teams endorse Power Plate in sports such as soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and golf. Professional tennis players who credit Power Plate as an integral part of their training or recovery regimen include Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

“Tennis is the perfect application of Power Plate as the tennis players’ need for balance, flexibility and power are of paramount importance,” PHS CEO Lee Hillman said. “We recognize the value of tennis professionals in the fitness industry, and Power Plate is happy to support USPTA members’ retirement goals.”

Power Plate has been linked, in both clinical research and practice, to a wide range of performance, health and wellness benefits, from strength, balance, flexibility and weight loss to improved circulation, pain reduction, detoxification, and stress alleviation.
