Carson continues winning ways
November 18, 2014
Garden City, Kansas — Rocky Carson is closing the gap to regain the No. 1 ranking spot on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) with his third consecutive tournament victory. With previous wins in Missouri and Michigan, this past weekend Rocky added the title from the Turkey Shootout in Kansas to his streak.
The tournament was Carson’s 200th appearance on the men’s professional circuit and the win was the 21st of his career. The finals appearance in Kansas was Rocky’s fifth in six events this year on the IRT.
Last summer Rocky defeated the best players in the world on the indoor courts at the International Racquetball Federation’s (IRF) World Racquetball Championships in Canada. Carson’s gold medal was his ninth indoor World Championships medal of his career.
The IRT takes a couple of weeks off before back-to-back events in Washington and New Jersey. If Rocky keeps winning, he could ring in the New Year as the No. 1 player in the world!
