DiBiase to lead U.S. subsidiary

Boulder, Colo. – Babolat, the longest running tennis-specialized company in the world, has tapped Susan DiBiase as the new General Manager of Babolat USA.

Susan DiBiase has served as Babolat USA Marketing Director since 2007. As General Manager, DiBiase will lead Babolat brand strategy and execution in the United States, working out of Babolat’s U.S. headquarters in Boulder, Colo.

DiBiase, elected as Racquet Sports Industry (RSI) Person of the Year in 2012, has evolved Babolat’s U.S. marketing efforts over the last eight years. Implementing diverse strategies and programs, DiBiase has contributed to major growth in market share during her time with Babolat. DiBiase has guided the company’s U.S. communication, grassroots efforts and social media presence, and works hand-in-hand with the sales team to create meaningful programs for its partners. She also spearheaded the U.S. launch the world’s first connected tennis racket: Babolat Play. “Babolat is such a dynamic and inspiring company,” says DiBiase. “I’m honored and thrilled by the opportunity to build upon the great work that’s been accomplished, to continue to cultivate relationships with our partners and always look for innovative ways to grow the brand in the U.S.”

Prior to Babolat, DiBiase served as Product Manager for Nautilus, Inc. and Sports Marketing Manager for Schwinn Cycling & Fitness. A consummate competitor, DiBiase grew up playing and teaching tennis, and played varsity tennis at Pennsylvania State University. She competed on the international World Cup and national circuits in both freestyle skiing and mountain bike racing during a nearly 10-year career as a professional athlete.

Babolat continues to recognize its employees’ successes with the promotion of Daniel Becker to Senior Marketing Manager of Babolat USA. Formerly, Becker served as the Brand Marketing Manager for Babolat USA, managing the brand’s social media efforts. In his new role, Becker will oversee communication, sports marketing and field marketing. A lifelong tennis player, Becker lives and breathes the Babolat brand and was recognized in the tennis industry’s 2013 “30 under 30.”
