ITA partners with Tennis Analytics
March 11, 2015
SKILLMAN, NJ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Tennis Analytics, LLC. Tennis Analytics provides video match tagging for top collegiate teams, federations, academies, and touring professionals.
With Tennis Analytics, raw match footage is charted and posted to a private online team collection, allowing coaches and players to filter and view important match events from any web-enabled device. Detailed match reports and player season averages are also provided. This service can be used for home and away matches, providing in-depth analytics to help take a team to the next level.
Warren Pretorius, who is the founder of Tennis Analytics, views this newly developed partnership as one with a great chance to rapidly expand.
“Initially, Tennis Analytics was a service that we provided to a select few top touring pros and federations,” said Pretorius. “A natural extension is the collegiate market, and we already have over 30 top teams as clients. In all major sports, there is a far greater awareness of the importance of analytics and having greater information that allows you to objectively track player and team progress. The use of analytics is becoming a necessity to get the competitive edge – from recruiting, to player and team development, to scouting. I look forward to working with the ITA to help bring this service to all collegiate programs.”
Pretorius is no stranger to college tennis, having played at the NCAA Division I level at Weber State University from 1986-89, where he was part of four Big Sky Championship teams. He still competes in the USTA senior divisions, having won 11 USTA balls to date, and is a USPTA Master Professional. Pretorius managed the tennis market for Dartfish video analysis software before founding Tennis Analytics. He lives and works in Park City, Utah.
David A Benjamin, Executive Director of the ITA, also expressed his excitement about the ITA’s newest partnership.
“We are very fortunate to begin this dynamic partnership with Tennis Analytics,” Benjamin said. “Having worked with Warren in the past, I know what he provides can be extremely beneficial to our membership.”
Specific pricing for current ITA members is available, with packages to suit all budgets. Contact Warren Pretorius via phone (435-714-0883) to schedule a live online demo.
