HEAD continues AIDS fight

August 24, 2015

New York — For the third year, HEAD and its top tennis players are supporting the fight for an AIDS Free Generation with the release of a new (HEAD)RED collection and social media campaign. The players will carry the new (PRODUCT)RED Combi Bag and (PRODUCT)RED Club Bag onto the courts during the 2015 US Open, to raise awareness and money to fight AIDS. For the first time, the collection also features the special (PRODUCT)RED racquet dampener that will make its official debut on the racquet of Fernando Verdasco at the year’s last Grand Slam tournament.

In addition to sporting the (PRODUCT)RED bags during the US Open starting August 31, HEAD’s top players – including the current ATP world’s number 3 Andy Murray, Marin Cilic, Fernando Verdasco and Maria Sharapova – will engage fans through a series of videos on HEAD’s Facebook and Twitter channel. Called “The longest (social) rally”, the campaign will generate additional donations for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, with HEAD donating 2 Euros every time the video is shared. Fans can follow the longest rally on HEAD.COM/RED.

The new (HEAD)RED Collection will be available at selected retailers this August, with every purchase raising money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS. Since 2006, (RED) and its partners have raised more than $320 million for the Global Fund, and through December 31, 2014, HEAD’s partnership with (RED) has generated enough to provide more than 261,000 days of life-saving HIV/AIDS medication.
