Longoria & Carson win big in Vegas

September 28, 2015

Las Vegas, Nevada – Paola Longoria, the world’s best on the indoor racquetball circuit, proved she is just as dominant on the outdoor court in winning her first 3Wallball World Championship under the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. HEAD Penn’s Longoria entered the event seeded last in the draw due to her ‘rookie’ status on the outdoor tour, but that didn’t matter as she knocked off the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds before defeating the defending champion in the tournament final of the women’s singles division. Paola also captured the women’s doubles title in similar dominating fashion.

Already one of the most decorated outdoor players ever with 15+ career titles, HEAD Penn’s Rocky Carson added to his winning ways on the courts underneath the shadow of the Stratosphere in Vegas. Rocky won the 3Wallball men’s doubles division and took home second in the men’s singles completion.

Paola and Rocky now both turn their attention indoors to the UnitedHealthcare US OPEN Racquetball Championships in Minneapolis. Taking place during the second weekend in October, the US OPEN is racquetball’s largest and most prestigious tournament of the year. Carson is a former US OPEN Champion while Longoria has won the event five times, including the last four in a row.
