Bouchard, Muguruza, Nishikori headline event

Rancho Mirage, CA – Cliff Drysdale Tennis and Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa have announced the preliminary line up of top ATP and WTA tour players participating in the 2016 “Tennis with the Stars” event, taking place on March 8, 2016. In its second year, the afternoon event features an exclusive, intimate gathering of some of the world’s top tennis players as a kickoff to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The tennis fest presents a rare opportunity for a limited number of amateur tennis players, spectators, and VIPs to have an up close and personal experience with the tennis stars, both on and off the court.
The event will be headlined by Wimbledon finalist and World No. 3 Garbine Muguruza, Wimbledon finalist and former World No. 6 (2014) Eugenie Bouchard, World No. 8 Japanese stand out Kei Nishikori, alongside special guests to be announced in the coming months.
The celebrity gathering will be hosted at Palm Springs’ Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa and the schedule will be as follows:
Pro Am Doubles Round Robin (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.) – Just 24 amateurs will have the opportunity to play alongside Cliff Drysdale Tennis pros and special guests, with the four winners earning a once in a lifetime opportunity to play with and against tennis celebrities in the exhibition matches that follow!
VIP Welcome Cocktail & Spectator Arrival (4 p.m.)
Celebrity Exhibition Matches Begin (5 p.m.) – The 2016 stars will take to the court with Pro Am winners and other special guests for exhibition matches of epic proportions!
VIP Reception and Meet and Greet (6 p.m.) – VIP ticket holders, event sponsors and guests are invited to mingle and enjoy a champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception and opportunity for photos and autographs with the stars.
The action is open to the public by reservation with limited availability. Pro Am entries, spectator tickets and VIP packages will be available for purchase online at tenniswithstars.com, beginning January 2016.
