March 3, 2016

Chicago, IL – McWIL Squash, the leading squash court builder in North America and a pioneer in squash courts around the world, announced today at the Windy City Open that Steve Hall will join the McWIL team as Senior Partner. Hall brings with him more than twenty-five years of experience in the sports industry as a player, squash teaching professional and racquet industry executive. He will partner with McWIL Founder and CEO David Carr in all aspects of the McWIL business with a heavy focus on sales, marketing and business development.

As a player, Hall was a perennial top 10 ranked player in Canada throughout his playing career. A native of Calgary, Alberta, he has held Squash Professional roles at some of the most impressive clubs in North America, including Bankers Hall Club, Edgemont Club, The Glencoe Club, and most recently at Sea Island Resort.

Off the court, he has more than two decades of experience in sports sales and marketing including 12 years at Dunlop Sports as Director of Marketing, where he was responsible for all marketing operations and programs for the North American racquet sports division. Prior to his tenure with Dunlop Sports, Hall served as President of Manta Sports, overseeing the company’s global operations, including marketing and development of squash products and equipment. A former member of the US Squash Board of Directors, squash is a lifelong passion of Hall’s both personally and professionally.

“I’m excited to partner with McWIL at a time when both squash court construction and the game itself are growing exponentially, especially here in North America,” said Hall. “The quality, craftsmanship and performance the McWIL Squash Court System stands for is unmatched. My goal is to use my marketing experience and professional sports background to further elevate the McWIL brand.”

“Steve’s marketing expertise and overall industry knowledge are going to help us grow,” said David Carr, CEO of McWIL. “But just as importantly, Steve’s professionalism and outgoing personality are a perfect fit for our global partnership team.”

“I’ve worked with both McWIL and Steve over the years, and their partnership will have a positive influence on the development of the sport here in the US,” said John Flanigan, Athletic Director of the University Club of Chicago. “McWIL over-delivered when they built our new squash center, and I’m sure Steve will do the same in his new role.”
