August 18, 2016
City Parks Foundation invites New Yorkers of all ages and abilities to participate in its annual free tennis clinic in Central Park to kick off the US Open Championships with LACOSTE ambassador Murphy Jensen and more LACOSTE-sponsored professional tennis players and ambassadors, to be announced.
Participants will have a chance to learn from the pros on the game’s most integral shots: forehand, backhand, serve and volley. As well as compete in fun contests for giveaways courtesy of LACOSTE.
CityParks Tennis presented by BNP Paribas, provides free tennis lessons to thousands of kids ages six to 16 each year in nearly 39 parks throughout the five boroughs. Opportunities include free beginner lessons, tournaments, leagues, excellence programs and special events.
