November 22, 2016

Surrey Smashers Badminton captain Chris Langridge is set to feature for his side in their AJ Bell National Badminton League match against University of Nottingham Sport on Monday evening (28th November, 7.30 p.m.).

Leatherhead-born Langridge, who has played for Smashers since the team formed in 2012, secured a men’s doubles bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games alongside Marcus Ellis with a number of fine performances beating world top 10 pairs.

Fans attending Smashers’ match against Nottingham on Monday will get an exclusive chance to meet Langridge and see his Olympic medal with a special photo booth session between 6-7 p.m.

The match-night could also see a huge showdown between fellow Rio stars and husband and wife partnership Gabby (Smashers) and Chris (Notts) Adcock, as the pair are set to be pitched against one and other in the mixed doubles event.

Young badminton fans can also hit the court with Smashers players and community coaches with our first ever Game Day Badminton Camp – which is open to young players aged between 8-14 years old and of all abilities.
