January 17, 2017

Ray Benton, JTCC CEO, announced today that as of February 28, 2017 Ajay Pant will be leaving his position as Senior Vice President of Operations at JTCC to take on a new role as the National Tennis Director of LifeTime based at the company’s national headquarters in Minneapolis.

“Ajay has made an invaluable contribution to our operations in the five and a half years he has been with us,” commented Benton. “He will be missed in many ways but this is a wonderful opportunity for him to use his abilities on a national stage.”

JTCC’s Senior Director of Tennis, Vesa Ponkka, added, “It has been a pleasure to work with Ajay to develop a true pathway for youngsters to enter our programming as young as three years old and have a seamless path right through to earning a tennis scholarship to a major university.”

John Borden, current Assistant General Manager at JTCC, has been named as the new General Manager and will be assuming Pant’s responsibilities. These included managing JTCC operations and overseeing JTCC’s satellite facilities at the Bethesda YMCA, Silver Spring YMCA and the Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. Borden has worked closely with Pant over the past four years and is one of the key drivers of JTCC’s adult beginner programming, “Rally in 10” as well as the 10 and under junior pathway curriculum.
