USPTA and SportMaster unite

January 17, 2017

HOUSTON – The United States Professional Tennis Association announced today it will enter into a three-year agreement with SportMaster Sport Surfaces division of ThorWorks Industries, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, SportMaster will remain the official surface of the USPTA and will introduce the SportMaster Fix-A-Court program as an added benefit to all USPTA members.

The SportMaster Fix-A-Court program will allow USPTA members to pre-register for a potential tennis court (or other court) repair, resurfacing, or construction project. If the project takes place, the member will benefit from their referral.

“We are excited to join forces with the USPTA members and offer the Fix-A-Court program,” Jeff Gearheart, SportMaster Sport Surfaces Director. “This will be a great way for SportMaster to assist in the improvement of tennis and other sport surfaces, while sharing a portion with our valued USPTA partners.”

SportMaster has been supplying a worldwide network of professionals with premium quality sports surfaces and repair products for more than 40 years. Their dedication to bringing science and advanced technology to sport surfaces has resulted in resurfacing systems that provide optimum performance for both players and surfaces. SportMaster tennis court resurfacing products feature 100 percent Acrylic Resins ensuring long-term protection from all the elements, including supreme resistance from the damaging effects of the sun. “SportMaster constructed the two courts at our Houston World Headquarters over 10 years ago and we have had a good relationship since then. Given our upcoming relocation to our new HQ in Lake Nona, it made sense to revisit our partnership and devise a new endorsee benefit that our entire membership can access,” said John Embree, USPTA CEO.
