College MatchDay Returns on Tennis Channel

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 31, 20190 – Tennis Channel’s coverage of USTA College MatchDay returns Saturday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. ET., with the Florida and Florida State men’s teams facing off. The network will have five matchups over the course of the next five weeks, live at the USTA National Campus at Lake Nona, Fla., in the Orlando area. The complex is the only off-campus facility in the country designed entirely for college tennis and features a 12-court stadium.

The USTA College MatchDay series showcases the sport’s best programs and fiercest rivalries this year. Multiple top 25 programs are slated to be featured as part of the USTA College MatchDay with Florida (5), Florida State (19) and Tennessee (22), all ranked in the men’s top 25. Florida (20) is in the women’s top 25.

This is Tennis Channel’s second year as the home of USTA College MatchDay. The network will have complete live coverage of the matchup between Florida and Florida State, as the broadcast will bounce around to different matches at Lake Nona. Hall of Famer Tracy Austin (@thetracyaustin) will provide analysis as former pro Leif Shiras (@LShirock) will serve as the play-by-play announcer. Carolyn Manno (@carolynmanno) will serve as sideline reporter during the event. Former player Prakash Armitraj (@PrakashArmitraj) will also be a part of the on-air team during the 2019 College MatchDay season.
