BNP Paribas Open and Plexipave to Continue Partnership Through 2022
October 30, 2019
ANDOVER, Mass. – Oct. 30, 2019 – ICP Building Solutions Group (ICP BSG) has renewed its partnership with the BNP Paribas Open (the Indian Wells Masters) to supply its California Sports Surfaces’ high-performance Plexipave® tennis surface system to the prestigious tournament for another three years.
Plexipave has been the BNP Paribas Open’s surface system of choice for over 19 years, since before the Indian Wells Tennis Garden was completed in 2000. The striking, iconic Tour Purple and Light Green tennis surface is made up of a special formulation of the Plexipave® I.W. system —specifically developed to provide optimized performance for the arid desert conditions.
“Our relationship with the BNP Paribas Open has been a mutually successful one for over two decades,” said Tom Magner, director of sales operations, California Sports Surfaces. “We look forward to continuing to provide a high-performance surface system where the world’s top tennis professionals can compete and showcase their remarkable skills.”
Plexipave® Hardcourt I.W. is a slow hard-court formulation, designed to compensate for the location’s minimal humidity. The Plexipave family also includes both hardcourt and cushioned systems, offering tennis facilities everywhere the highest levels of performance, texture, longevity and athletic capability.
California Sports Surfaces is the surface system provider to a variety of the world’s most recognizable tennis tournaments. Its DecoTurf surface was recently chosen as the official tennis court surface for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
