Head Penn Junior Racquetball Players Win 8 Medals at World Chps.

San Jose, Costa Rica – December 13, 2019 – Five junior players from Team HEAD Penn won eight medals at the International Racquetball Federation’s (IRF) 31st World Junior Racquetball Championships. The nine-day event was held at the Ciudad Deportiva de Hatillo facility in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Heather Mohoney (Penngrove, CA.) led the HEAD Penn players by winning the gold medal in the Girl’s 14 & Under Singles division. Last year, Mahoney won the silver medal in the same division and in 2017, was the Girl’s 12 & Under Singles World Champion.

Nikhil Prasad (Fremont, CA.) came home from Costa Rica with a pair of silver medals. Prasad finished as the runner-up in the Boy’s 14 & Under Singles and Boy’s 14 & Under Doubles divisions.

Timmy Hansen (Wellington, FL.) was also a double medal winner in Costa Rica. Timmy won a bronze medal in the Boy’s 16 & Under Singles division and a silver medal in the Boy’s 16 & Under Doubles division.

Ava Kaiser (Stillwater, MN.) took home a pair of bronze medals in the Girl’s 14 & Under Singles and Doubles competitions. Annie Roberts (Portland, OR.) won a bronze medal in the Girls 14 & Under Singles division.

Josh Shea (Cortlandt Manor, NY.), Ben Baron (Phoenix, AZ.), and Graci Wargo (Clearwarter, FL.) also represented Team HEAD Penn and the United States at the international event.

Team HEAD Players helped the United States team win the bronze medal in the Overall Team competition.
