April 9, 2020

LAKE NONA, Fla. – The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) has signed a formal partnership with the Women’s Tennis Coaching Association (WTCA) that will bring leaders of the tennis industry together and offer several benefits for members of both organizations.

“We’re very excited to partner with the WTCA,” USPTA CEO John Embree said. “They do so much for women’s tennis all around the world and we think we can work together to provide more opportunities and resources for women’s tennis coaches.”

“The WTCA is thrilled about the opportunity to partner with the USPTA,” WTCA CEO Sarah Stone said. “The USPTA is the leading coach education organization in the United States, and by working together, we have the fantastic opportunity to enhance coaches’ knowledge in working with female players. The USPTA is very committed to keeping women in tennis and elevating female coaches. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.”

As part of the agreement, the WTCA will recruit USPTA professionals to give presentations at WTCA conferences and workshops in the United States. Conversely, the USPTA will work to secure high-profile speakers from the WTCA for its World Conference and division conferences. The organizations will also collaborate to create a specialty course on coaching the female athlete, and both organizations are sharing online educational material.

Additionally, USPTA members will receive discounts to WTCA conferences and membership. For more information on member benefits through this partnership, please visit uspta.com/benefits.
