ESPN Reaches Agreement to Televise Wimbledon Through 2035

July 12, 2021

ESPN agreed to a 12-year extension recently to continue televising Wimbledon, keeping the Grand Slam tournament on the sports cable network through 2035.

The agreement with the All England Lawn Tennis Club lets the company show weekend matches on the ABC network in the middle of the tournament and air coverage from all of the courts on the ESPN+ streaming service, the company said. ESPN+ will also have full match replays.

ESPN first secured exclusive rights to Wimbledon in 2011 in a deal that had been slated to end in 2023. The new deal covers the U.S., Canada (via TSN and RDS), Latin America, the Caribbean and Brazil.
