USPTA Hires Whitney Kraft as Platform Tennis National Head Tester

LAKE NONA, FL, Aug 12, 2021 — The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), the global leader in tennis-teacher certification and professional development, has hired Whitney Kraft as its new National Head Tester for Platform Tennis.

“We’re very excited to bring Whitney aboard,” USPTA CEO John Embree said. “He brings years of valuable experience in the platform tennis arena and will be a tremendous asset as we grow our base of certified Platform Tennis Professionals across the country.”

“I am honored to continue my association with the USPTA in this new role, particularly during this exciting period in the organization’s history,” Kraft added. “I look forward to working with our leaders, staff, and members as we promote the USPTA, our professional standards, and the sport of Platform Tennis.”

Whitney is a lifelong racquet sports aficionado, currently serving as the Managing Director of All Racquet Sports (ARS). He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where he was an All-American singles player in 1982 and was inducted into the FAU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. As a tennis player, Whitney was a four-time National Mixed Open Champion. Most recently, he served as Director of Tennis at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. He is a certified coach and competitive player in Tennis, Padel, Pickleball, Platform Tennis, and Beach Tennis, and has been a USPTA Elite Professional since 1983. Whitney was previously the Head Tennis Tester for the USPTA Eastern Division.
