USTA Foundation Receives $325,000 from Chase to Support NJTLs

PURCHASE, N.Y., July 11, 2023 – The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), today announced that for the tenth consecutive year, it has partnered with longtime US Open sponsor Chase to award 27 National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters with $325,000 in total grants to support year-round tennis and education programming. This year, more than 54,000 youth from under-resourced communities will be impacted by these grants. Chase has awarded more than $1.6 million to selected NJTL chapters as part of its decade-long collaboration with the USTA Foundation.

“Chase continues to serve as an unwavering supporter of our charitable mission to bring tennis and education together to change lives,” said Kathleen Wu, USTA Foundation Board President. “The Return the Serve program has made a positive impact on tens of thousands of kids across the country, and we are grateful to Chase for its continued generosity and steadfast commitment to the communities we serve.”

Additionally, “Return the Serve Fun Day” celebrations will take place July 10-15 in seven select markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. This fun-filled event is complete with high-energy tennis activities, off-court educational opportunities, and healthy lunch for NJTL participants and their families.
