US Open, Grey Goose Vodka Extend Landmark Partnership

August 2, 2023

FLUSHING, N.Y., August 2, 2023 – The USTA today announced that it and Grey Goose® Vodka will extend one of the longest-running spirits partnerships in sports, as the two celebrate 17 years together in 2023 by renewing the landmark partnership that launched one of the premier signature cocktails in sports and events, the Honey Deuce.

The renewal marks another year that Grey Goose will be the Official Vodka of the US Open and serve the official signature cocktail of the tournament, the Honey Deuce. The US Open and Grey Goose first partnered in 2007 and have since sold more than 1.8 million Honey Deuce cocktails, including a record-breaking 405,000 in 2022.

In 2023, Grey Goose will have branded cocktail bars in four locations on-site at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center: the Food Village, Grandstand Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium’s concourse and two on the promenade level of Arthur Ashe Stadium, doubling the number of ‘Honey Deuce Express’ access points on the main stadium’s upper level.

The Honey Deuce will continue to be served in a commemorative souvenir cup, featuring the names of past US Open singles champions. For a second year, Grey Goose is offering ready-to-drink Honey Deuce signature cocktails that will also be available for at-home delivery in select markets with the “Honey Deuce Express” kits.

“Our partnership with Grey Goose is unique and standard-setting in a number of ways,” said Deanne Pownall, Managing Director, Corporate Partnerships, USTA. “Grey Goose was the first spirits brand to become an official US Open partner. It was groundbreaking to introduce a US Open signature cocktail and the Honey Deuce continues to evolve and exceed expectations. Over the past 17 years, Grey Goose’s support of the tournament and innovative spirit has helped to drive our collective success. We are thrilled to celebrate this renewal and look forward to many more years of partnership.”

“Grey Goose is thrilled to bring the Honey Deuce back to New York for its 17th year as the official signature cocktail of the US Open,” said Aleco Azqueta, VP Marketing. “Since 2007, we’ve been proud to be a part of nearly two million toasts to excellence and best-in-class tennis at Arthur Ashe stadium. The Honey Deuce has become an integral part of the US Open experience for so many fans, and we look forward to continue making history with our partners at the USTA for many years to come.”

The 2023 US Open begins with Fan Week on August 22, with the main draw running August 28-September 10.
