racketpro Launches as Premier Organization for Racket Sports Professionals

July 12, 2024 — racketpro (RPO), an international organization dedicated to providing best-in-class education and member benefits to coaches, tournament directors, facility operators and professionals in the world of racquet sports, launched today, with the goal of serving the global community of racquet sports. The new organization will emphasize industry excellence by empowering and inspiring future leaders, ultimately propelling worldwide participation in these rapidly growing racquet sports, starting with pickleball.
Collin Johns, half of the world’s #1 doubles team, will serve as RPO’s lead educational consultant, playing a pivotal role in designing and developing the coaching education curriculum to ensure it meets the highest industry standards, officials said.
“I am ecstatic to take a lead role in RPO to raise the global standard of coaching for industry professionals,” said Johns. “This overhaul and new modern standard for the pickleball coaching guidebook has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait to provide comprehensive education to help members take their careers to the next level. RPO is going to revolutionize the coaching space, and I am thrilled to be part of an organization dedicated to elevating the racquets industry.”
Official member registration will open on July 22. RPO operations and courses begin September 2024. Anyone can sign up now to receive the latest news and information about the launch and official racketpro membership opportunities.
RPO will launch programming with 175 Level 1 workshops and 50 Level 2 workshops, with Level 3 planned to roll out in 2025. Starting July 22nd, the full workshop schedule will be available on racketpro.org
Inaugural Workshops:
* Level 1: Sept. 1, 2024 in Orlando, FL, led by veteran coach and pickleball pro Josh Jenkins
* Level 2: Nov. 11, 2024 in Dallas, TX, led by Collin Johns
Members will enjoy benefits such as liability insurance, free products, preferred pricing and quality member services. Additionally, RPO will extend equivalency for certified coaches in pickleball, tennis, and platform tennis from recognized organizations.
