Professional Tennis Registry Announces Peter Hurley as New CEO

Wesley Chapel, FL – August 26, 2024 – The Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) is excited to announce the appointment of Peter Hurley as its new Chief Executive Officer. Hurley will take the helm of PTR, along with its umbrella organizations—the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR), Professional Platform Tennis Registry (PPTR), and Padel Coaches Registry (PCR)—bringing with him a wealth of experience in sports leadership and a passion for advancing the racquet sports industry.
Hurley founded Synergy, an award-winning experiential agency, with a mission to bring tennis to people worldwide. Throughout his career, Hurley has served as a Strategic Engagement Partner for Fortune 500 companies, activating around 25 ATP, WTA, and Champions Tour tournaments, as well as global events like the Olympics, Super Bowl, Wimbledon, and World Cup. His tenure on the boards of prestigious organizations such as the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF) and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) further showcases his commitment to growing the sport and fostering meaningful partnerships.
In his new role, Hurley will lead PTR and its affiliates, focusing on building on the organization’s momentum, expanding membership, and continuing to elevate the standards of coaching in tennis, pickleball, platform tennis, and other racquet sports.
